What Is the SEC Exam?
The SEC exam — officially the Singapore-Cambridge Certificate — is a national secondary school qualification jointly administered by Singapore's Ministry of Education and Cambridge Assessment International Education. It will fully replace the current O-Level from 2027.
The SEC is part of Singapore's broader education reform following the 2021 PSLE changes, designed to reduce score anxiety and offer more diverse progression pathways.
